OU head coach Bob Stoops was on the defensive a little bit at his weekly  news conference on Monday, October 12, when reporters asked him about his team's apparent lack of motivation in the 24-17 loss to Texas last Saturday.

Stoops said the coaching staff did all they could to prepare the team, showing them video from OU's upset loss to the Longhorns in 2013, to make sure motivation was not a problem against a Texas team that was a 17-point underdog.

Stoops said players have to execute the game plan, and OU didn't do that against Texas.

The video above is Stoops' response to the question of motivation.
