Buddy Hield Named Finalist for National Player of the Year

Oklahoma guard Buddy Hield was named Monday, February 29, as one of 11 finalists for the Oscar Robertson Trophy, which is awarded to the national player of the year in men’s basketball by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.

The USBWA player of the year award will be presented in Oklahoma City on April 11 at a banquet at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.

Hield is averaging 25.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and is shooting .496 from the field and .481 from three-point range, plus .894 at the free throw line.
