Former Oklahoma All-American guard Stacey Dales will be the first female athlete in the history of the University of Oklahoma to have her jersey retired when she's honored at a ceremony Friday, Nov. 21, at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.

Dales will have her #21 jersey retired during halftime of OU's home game against Bradley.

A native of Ontario, Canada, Dales played at OU from 1997 to 2002, earning All-America honors in 2001 and 2002, and leading the Sooners to the NCAA Championship Game in 2002 in what was Oklahoma's first Women's Final Four appearance.

Dales will be joined by about 50 former Sooner women's basketball players for the ceremony.

She's currently a broadcaster on the NFL Network.
