The Big 12 conference announced that Oklahoma City will host the 2017-2020 conference baseball championships and the 2017-2019 women’s basketball tournaments on Thursday, May 28.

According to the Oklahoma City All Sports Association, OKC has hosted the Big 12 baseball title 16 of the last 19 years.

Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark will host the tournament, as in year’s past.

Oklahoma City has hosted three Big 12 women’s basketball tournaments before, in 2007, 2009 and 2014.

The women’s tournament will take place at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

“We are ecstatic to bring back both Big 12 Baseball and Women’s Basketball Championships back to Oklahoma City, said All Sports Executive Director Tim Brassfield.  We have a long and storied history with the Big 12 Baseball Championship and Oklahoma City has shown their strong support of Big 12 Women’s Basketball when it has hosted previously, including having the highest attended women’s championship of all time.”
