Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight will transfer from OU and has been granted a full release by the school and head coach Bob Stoops, according to a report by Soonerscoop.com on Thursday, December 10.
Knight is expected to graduate from OU this semester, and would be able to transfer to another school in the spring and play immediately next season.
Knight is reportedly considering SMU, Kansas State, Oregon, and Georgia.
Knight has been relegated to a backup role this year with the emergence of Baker Mayfield at quarterback.
He led OU to a Sugar Bowl win over Alabama after the 2013 season, but has been inconsistent ever since.
