Sooners Pull Away Late to Beat Northern Colorado

Oklahoma’s men’s basketball team went on a 32-14 run to end the game and break open a close game to beat Northern Colorado 87-66 on Tuesday night at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.

OU led by just six at halftime and were up by three, 55-52, when they took control in the final 10 minutes to win going away.

The Sooners shot 54 percent from the field and the OU defense had 9 blocks and 11 steals.

Freshman forward Kristian Doolittle led the Sooners with a career high 17 points on 7 of 8 shooting from the field.

Three other Sooners were in double figure scoring, with Jordan Woodard and Christian James both scoring 14 points, and Khadeem Lattin adding 10.

Oklahoma improved to 5-1 on the season.

The Sooners next travel to Madison, Wisconsin, to play 17th-ranked Wisconsin on Saturday, December 3, at noon central time.
