Oklahoma stayed number 3 in the next-to-last College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday, December 1.

The top five teams remained the same from last week, with Clemson number 1, Alabama 2, Oklahoma 3, Iowa 4, and Michigan State at 5.

Oklahoma is a virtual lock to make the top four for the national semifinals, but the other three spots are up for grabs.

Clemson will play North Carolina for the ACC Championship this weekend, while Alabama meets Florida in the SEC Championship game, and Iowa faces Michigan State in the Big Ten title game.

Stanford is 7th in the rankings, and with a win over USC in the Pac-12 championship game, could conceivably move into the top four if Clemson and Alabama falter.

The final rankings will be released Sunday,  December 6.
