Oklahoma State spent the majority of the afternoon playing catch up, but still had a late chance to win the game on the road against the Kansas Jayhawks.

Le’Bryan Nash had a late 3 point attempt blocked as the Jayhawks survived 80-78 over OSU. Nash had 10.

Marcus Smart struggled to get going offensively. He finished 3 of 14 from the field with 16 points. However, he was able to get to the line hitting all 10 of his free throws he took. Smart narrowly missed a triple-double finishing with his 16 pts, 10 rebounds and 9 assists.

5 Cowboys did finish in double figures.

Phil Forte III was brilliant from deep hitting 7 of his 10 three point attempts. He led OSU with 23 points.

The game was physical and chippy. Markel Brown received two technical fouls and was ejected in the 2nd half.

Freshman phenom Center Joel Embiid almost notched a triple-double as well with 13 pts, 11 rebound and 8 blocks.

Nadir Tharpe led KU with 21 points.

The Cowboys will now take a week off before their next game, January 25th, against West Vriginia at home.
