Cowboys Open Regional With Shutout

Oklahoma State’s baseball team beat Binghamton 8-0 in the NCAA Regional in Stillwater on Friday night at Reynolds Stadium.

The Cowboys got two runs in the third inning on an RBI single by Donnie Walton, who later scored on a wild pitch to put OSU up 2-0.

Oklahoma State got two more in the fifth inning, as Tim Arakawa drove home Tanner Krietemeier on a sacrifice fly and Conor Costello singled in Gage Green to make it 4-0.

Bryan Case belted a solo home run in the sixth inning to make it 5-0.

Zach Fish finished the scoring with a two-run home run in the eighth to make it 8-0 Cowboys.

OSU advances to play Cal State Fullerton Saturday at 6:00 in the winners’ bracket.

The Titans beat Nebraska 5-1 in the first game of the regional on Friday.

Nebraska will play Binghamton in an elimination game Saturday at noon.
