Oklahoma and Ohio State will meet in Norman on Saturday, September 17, when they face off at 6:30 in a matchup of top 15 teams.

It will be just the third time the two teams have played each other.

The first time came on September 24, 1977, when the Buckeyes hosted the Sooners at Ohio Stadium.

Uwe von Schamann kicked a 41-yard field goal with 3 seconds left to lead OU to a 29-28 victory that day.

To this day, it’s still the most famous field goal in Sooner history.

The video features an interview with von Schamann in 1997, on the 20th anniversary of the game.

Oklahoma and Ohio State will play next season in Columbus for the first time since that game.
