Former OU basketball player Mookie Blaylock was indicted by a grand jury in Georgia on Wednesday on 14 charges, including first degree vehicular homicide, serious injury by vehicle and reckless driving.

Blaylock is accused of causing a head-on collision in May of 2013 that killed a mother of five and injured her husband.

If convicted, Blaylock faces up to 33 years in prison according to the Clayton County District Attorney in Georgia.

Blaylock was seriously injured in the wreck and temporarily on life support, but was released from the hospital a few days later.

Blaylock’s attorney contends Blaylock had a blackout at the time of the accident and has been treated for seizures.

Blaylock was an All-American at OU in 1989, and holds Sooner steals records for a single game, season and career.

He played 13 seasons in the NBA and was a two-time first team NBA All-Defensive Team member.

Blaylock is 47 and is one of four former Sooners who have had their jersey retired at Oklahoma.
