If the latest edition of the Farmers’ Almanac is right, get ready for a bitterly cold winter.

The new 2014 Farmers’ Almanac was just published Monday.

It’s predicting an active year for winter storms with about a half-dozen snow storms including one just in time for next year’s Super Bowl.

The Almanac anticipates a big snowstorm the first week of February in the New York-New Jersey area.

That’s the same time and location of Super Bowl 48, outdoors at MetLife stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

According to publishers, the Almanac has an 80-to-85-percent accuracy rate.
