Fresh off the success of the U.S. Senior Open last week, Oak Tree National in Edmond is hoping to get a future major golf event.

The club is interested in getting either a PGA Championship, a U.S. Open, a Ryder Cup event, or a PGA Tour playoff tournament.

The course received rave reviews from the golfers at the U.S. Senior Open, and the U.S. Golf Association was impressed with what Oak Tree did during the tournament and how the course played for the golfers 50 years and older.

In the above video you’ll hear comments from 2014 U.S. Senior Open champion Colin Montgomerie, plus Oak Tree residents Bob Tway and Willie Wood, and Oak Tree National’s president and chief operating officer, Tom Jones.
