Three Oklahoma related players once again played significant roles in the Dallas Cowboys’ latest win.
Former Sooner DeMarco Murray made history, becoming the first player to rush for at least 100 yards in the first seven games of a season.
Murray had 128 yards rushing on 28 carries and scored on a 1-yard touchdown run in Dallas’ 31-21 win at home over the New York Giants.
Former OSU receiver Dez Bryant had 9 catches for 151 yards, while former OSU kicker Dan Bailey connected on a 49-yard field goal.
In Indianapolis, former Sooner Jermaine Gresham had 10 catches for 48 yards in Cincinnati’s 27-0 loss to the Colts.
Detroit edged New Orleans 24-23, but the Saints got 5 catches for 103 yards and a 46-yard touchdown catch from former Sooner Kenny Stills.
In Denver, former Heritage Hall star Wes Welker caught 3 passes for 50 yards and a 39-yard touchdown, the 508th of Peyton Manning’s career to tie Brett Favre’s NFL career record.
Manning went on to throw two more TD passes to break the record in the Broncos’ 42-17 win over San Francisco.
