Former Sooner Advances in Track at Olympics

Former University of Oklahoma trackster Ronnie Ash qualified for the semifinals of the 110 meter hurdles on Monday, August 15, by winning his heat at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Ash won his heat in a time of 13.31.

This is Ash’s first appearance in the Olympics at the age of 28.

Ash won the 110m hurdles at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Championships for OU, after transferring from Bethune-Cookman.

The semifinals of the 110m hurdles in Rio will be held on Tuesday, August 16.
