A win is a win no matter what the score. And so far, the Sooners and Cowboys haven't disappointed. Both are undefeated heading into this weekend's match ups.

OSU squares off with Kansas State, who's had two weeks to prepare for the contest. On the flip side, OU has had two weeks to prepare for West Virginia.

No matter what the situation, both OU and OSU continue to prepare the same way, bye week or not.

Bye weeks offer football teams a rare chance to heal up and relax during an otherwise busy season schedule Bob Stoops even told a story about how he took his family to lunch on Sunday at the OU golf course only to spot a few players going out to play a round.

For Baker Mayfield he wasn't necessarily a fan of when the off time came for the Sooners and how it sets up their season. “Bye weeks are always nice i know those lineman up front they love that they have a week off to get back into it we would've liked to have the bye week a little later in the season but we got nine straight and we're ready to go now and it came at a good time so I think we're ready pretty much healthy and all ready to go.”

Nila Kasitati, offensive lineman says, “Feeling better feeling way better I think that bye week really helped and I’m ready to get back to things and start practicing and get ready for this game.”

OU Safety Steven Parker says, “I felt like this was a great opportunity just for us to kind of get our feet wet a little bit before and now we can come back and actually just play football for the rest of the time.”

Bob Stoops says, “It doesn't really matter the schedules are made you got play it I don't pay attention it so that's the way we have it and sometimes too if you get on a good roll you don't want a bye week you get in a rhythm of playing and sometimes that can be good.”

This will be the third straight year the Sooners and Mountaineers have kicked off Big 12 play against each other we'll see if OU moves to 3-0 in those games come Saturday.
