Red River Rivalry staying at the Cotton Bowl for the next decade

DALLAS – When it comes to football season in Oklahoma, heading to Dallas in October is a tradition.

An announcement by officials in Texas confirmed that tradition is staying in tact.

Mayor Mike Rawlings announced the Red River showdown between the University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma will remain at the Cotton Bowl.

Rawlings says the contract for the Cotton Bowl and historic Fair Park has been extended until 2025.
