Sooner Wrestling Comes Back For Bedlam Win

After trailing OSU 15-3 the OU wrestling team won four straight weight classes to come back and win Bedlam 16-15.

This was the Sooners first win in the series since 2008.

Top ranked 149 pound wrestler Kendrick Maple was upset by OSU’s Josh Kindig 4-3.

Top ranked 174 pounder Andrew Howe used two take-downs to beat second ranked Chris Perry to give the Sooners another victory.

In the 184 class, OU’s Daniel Chaid defeated Kyle Krutchmer to cut the Cowboys lead to 15-9.

The Sooners 197 pound wrestler, Travis Rutt picked up a major decision over OSU’s Blake Roshalt to cut the Cowboy’s lead to 15-13.

Bedlam came down to the heavy weight class, OU’s Ross Larson used an escape from Austin Marsden to win the class 3-2 and give the Sooners the 16-15 dual win.
