The Oklahoma City Thunder had six players score in double figures in a  131-108 rout of the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday at Chesapeake Arena in Oklahoma City.

Kevin Durant was on fire early, scoring 29 points on 10 of 15 field goal shooting to lead OKC.

Russell Westbrook started slowly, missing his first eight shots, but he made 6 of his last 11 attempts to finish with 19 points and 11 rebounds, plus 5 assists.

The breakout performance came from rookie forward Mitch McGary, who had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

McGary was playing in just his third NBA game after missing most of the season with a fractured foot.

Dion Waiters added 16 points, Reggie Jackson 15 and Serge Ibaka 13.

OKC dominated the glass, outrebounding the Clippers 54-29.

The Thunder led by two after the first quarter, but an 18-4 run bridging the first and second quarters gave OKC a 10-point lead.

The Thunder led 66-56 at halftime, then took control in the third quarter, outscoring L.A. 35-19 during that period.

The lead eventually grew to 32 points and OKC cruised to the 23-point win.

Thunder center Steven Adams appeared to injure his right wrist late in the first half, and had to leave the game.

After briefly exiting the court, he returned to shoot two free throws, both of them left handed, using only one hand.

He missed the first one, but made the second.

The severity or status of Adams is not known, but he did not make the flight with the team to Denver later Sunday.

Former OU star Blake Griffin did not play in the game for the Clippers.

Griffin will have elbow surgery on Monday to remove a staph infection.

He’s expected to miss at least a week and a half, and possibly as much as four to six weeks.

The Thunder improved to 26-25 on the season, and will go back on the road next, playing Denver on Monday night at 8:00.
