The Oklahoma City Thunder used a 17-0 run late in the fourth quarter to tie Memphis and force overtime, but lost to the Grizzlies 98-95 in Game 3 of their first round NBA Playoff series on Thursday night in Memphis.

OKC trailed by as many as 17 points on two occasions in the second half, the last time coming midway through the fourth quarter.

The Thunder rallied to tie it, though, scoring 17 straight points as Memphis went cold, and tied the game at 81.

With the game tied at 85 and just two seconds left in regulation, Kevin Durant missed a 3-pointer to win it, and the game went to overtime.

Durant scored the first basket in overtime on a layup and foul.

Memphis answered to take the lead for good on a Mike Conley 3-pointer to make it 90-88 Grizzlies.

Durant then turned the ball over, and Conley scored on a fast break layup to put Memphis up 92-88.

Down three, OKC had a chance to tie it, but both Russell Westbrook and Durant missed 3-pointers that could have tied the game.

Memphis made most of their free throws down the stretch to hold on and win by three, taking a two games to one lead in the series.

Both Westbrook and Durant finished with 30 points, but neither had a good shooting game, with Durant going 10-for-27 from the field, and Westbrook 9-for-26.

Durant missed all eight three-point attempts.

The Thunder were just 5-for-28 from 3-point range as a team.

Six Grizzlies were in double figure scoring, led by Conley's 20 points.

Former OSU star Tony Allen added 16 points and 9 rebounds, and made two key baskets late for Memphis, plus a steal on a bad pass by Westbrook.

As in Game 2, Memphis' bench badly outplayed OKC's, outscoring them 34-9.

Memphis also outscored OKC 22-9 in points off turnovers.

The Grizzlies are now 5-1 at home vs. the Thunder in the NBA Playoffs.

Game 4 is set for Saturday night at 8:30 in Memphis.
