Thunder Roll Over Nuggets For Third Straight Win

The Oklahoma City Thunder went on a 24-8 run in the third quarter to take control on their way to a 117-93 win over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, November 1 at Chesapeake Arena.

The Thunder took the lead for good midway through the first quarter, and led at halftime 58-50 before their third quarter surge.

The Thunder wore their new alternate "sunset" uniforms for the first time in 18 games this year.

They will wear them in all Sunday home games.

Sunday night was the first of four straight Sunday home games for OKC and seven of the next nine weeks.

Kevin Durant led OKC with 25 points, making 8 of 11 shots, including three 3-pointers.

Serge Ibaka added 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 blocks, while Russell Westbrook added 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists.

Four other Thunder players scored in double figures:   D.J. Augustin had 14 points with four 3-pointers, Enes Kanter had 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Andre Roberson and Dion Waiters added 10 points apiece.

The Thunder shot 52 percent from the field and made 13 of 25 from three-point range.

OKC dominated the glass, outrebounding Denver 50-35.

TheThunder improved to 3-0 on the season, and will play again Monday night, November 2, at Houston in a 7:00 tipoff at the Toyota Center.
