NORMAN, Okla. - One of the most talked about tackles from the OU-Iowa State game Saturday was not made by a player.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lt. Brian Orr made the tackle of the game when he took down a fan who ran onto the field.

A YouTube video posted by Matt Skuta, a senior at OU, has gotten a lot of clicks.

He was on the sidelines as the whole incident went down in front of 80,000 fans.

Skuta said, "That guy came from behind us and he ran around for a while before anyone did anything."

That fan had no idea what was coming at him.

Skuta said, "I didn't see the trooper coming. I was just looking in my small frame. It was a surprise to me as I'm sure it was to him."

However, we've learned it was not Lt. Orr's first tackle.

In his younger days, Orr played linebacker for the UCO Broncos in the early 90s.

Officials at the University of Central Oklahoma say he racked up 200 tackles during his time on campus.

According to his old football bio page, Orr was one of the hardest hitters on the team.

It was also his dream to become a highway patrolman.

His latest hit is drawing a crowd on YouTube and Facebook.

On his wife's Facebook page, one post says, "Brian's arms remind me of Popeye after he tossed back a can of spinach."

Another says, "If only people knew his heart is bigger than those arms."

As for the video, Skuta says it was just luck he was so close.

He quickly posted the video, knowing a lot of people would be talking about the hit.

Skuta said, "People like to see that kind of stuff."

We have been trying to get in touch with Lt. Orr, but so far have not been able to reach him.

As for the fan who ran onto the field, 35-year-old Ronald Butch was cited and released for disturbing the peace.
