Taking a look back at this past October. It was a warm and stormy month!


October 2021 was significantly warmer than average and also wetter compared to average.  A very active west to east jet stream flow provided several rounds of severe weather.  A record 31 tornadoes were logged by the NWS.  This beats the old record set back in 1998 when Oklahoma recorded 28 tornadoes. Over 20 tornadoes occurred on one day during the October 4th 1998 Tornado Outbreak.  Jon Slater
