Mike’s Wild Weather Flashback – October 2001 Tornadoes

Wild Weather Flashback

This time of year in Oklahoma, we see our second peak in severe weather. In October of 2001, there was a tornado outbreak, including an F3 in western Oklahoma. The twister hit the NE edge of Elk City. The tornado was tracked for 11 miles before dissipating, proving that fall is Oklahoma’s second severe weather season, and for you to always be prepared.
